作為新加坡最大的視覺藝術節,2015年新加坡藝術週包含近100項藝術活動,活動地點覆蓋中心市區、吉門營房藝術區、烏節路購物街,以及代表新加坡多元種族特性的牛車水、小印度和甘榜格南社區,意在塑造新加坡公民社會、消費天堂、藝術中心和多元文化融合的城市國家形象。除「亞太釀酒基金會簽名藝術大獎」和「PrudentialEyeAwards」兩大藝術獎項,以及「藝術登陸新加坡」藝術博覽會外,參觀者還可以欣賞到來自蘇珊·維克特、「吉爾伯特與喬治」藝術家雙人組合、Ugo Untaro、邱瑞河 和新加坡本土印象派藝術家的作品,與西爾萬·利維、邁克爾·榮格、豪爾赫·佩雷斯交流藝術品收藏心得,並聽取文化社會學家莎拉·桑頓的藝術講座。藝術週不僅為當代藝術提供平台,也是一場對土生華人藝術、印尼巴打克人木雕、新加坡700年考古史等文化遺產的探索發現之旅。

As Singapore’s biggest visual art project with almost 100 events, Singapore Art Week 2015 covers venues of civic centre, artistic zone Gillman Barracks, shopping centre Orchard Road, and ethnic heritage areas of Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam, metaphors of the city as a civic state, consumption paradise, art centre and a multicultural society collaborating diverse ethnicities. Besides enjoying blockbuster art fair of Art Stage Singapore, exciting art prizes of Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Signature Art Prize and Prudential Eye Awards, visitors are also able to encounter art works from Suzanne Victor, Gilbert & George, Ugo Untoro, Khoo Sui Hoe, Singaporean local Impressionism artists, talk with collectors of Sylvain Levy, Michael Ringier, Jorge Perez, and share perspective from cultural sociologist Sarah Thornton. Not only fresh contemporary art is highlighted, but the heritage of Peranakan culture, Batak wood sculpture, and Singapore’s 700 archaeological histories is also rediscovered to preserve the city-state’s root.
